MELISSA PIERCE

I grew up in Orange County, California (which was just as amazing as it sounds) and went to Idaho (bleh) for college. I got a bachelor's degree in communication with a minor in editing.

I then moved to LA for three years, where I worked as a copywriter for a few different startups. Currently, I live in Utah and do my direct response copywriting remotely.

I have two spaniel mixes, Misty and Sniffy. The fact that there are no dog references in my book, Screwup, is a small miracle.

My home office is 77 square feet. It is entirely covered in sticky notes from storyboarding Screwup. 
 
I have since migrated to a second bedroom ("novel room") to storyboard my next novel (which means - you guessed it - more sticky notes). 

In my spare time, I take my dogs to agility class, lift weights, and watch cleaning videos on YouTube (I'm revealing WAY too much here, but it's the truth).

I run a TikTok account (@melwritestoomuch) with 70K+ followers where I share my storyboarding process and tips for both fiction writing and direct response copywriting.

Besides that, I'm most active on Twitter and Instagram stories, where I clutter my poor followers' feeds with absolute nonsense.
